White lines on widescreen prerendered video.

When I preview my prerendered video on my JVC monitor (16:9 mode) I can see some white lines on the top black bar. This only happens to the prerendered video area and not to the rest of the video where I don't apply any transition or fx.

-I shot with anamorphic adapter.
-My project properties are set to "NTSC DV 24p Widescreen (720x480, 23.976 fps)"
-I'm prerendering "NTSC DV Widescreen 24p (2-3-3-2 pulldown)"

If I print to tape selecting no widescreen mode, Vegas automatically put the black bars and I don't get this white lines on the top black bar. The thing is that I want to keep the "real" widescreen image for output to DVD and I'm not sure if these lines are still going to be visible on the DVD.

The white lines look like this:
_ _     _     _ _ _

(they're on the edge between the black and the image)

Any ideas what's going on?

Thanks in advance,

Kevin

Render a short segment as an AVI. Play it in Media Player. If the white lines don't appear when you play it, they won't appear on the DVD.

You're probably OK -- prerenders are just that -- prerenders. They're not your final output.

Thanks David.

I don't see the white lines in Media Player.

But, now that i'm previewing the avi file in Media Player it looks like an earthquake!!!! I mean, It seems like Media Player reads some frames as Widescreen and some it doesn't. So played at normal speed it looks like the images go from left to right and viceversa very fast!!!

Anyways, output to tape is fine though.

Thanks again.

Actually, I meant to tell you to render it as an MPEG-2, 'coz that's what the DVD will be, but it works out to the same thing.
