Near perfect, IMO. One of the best the best things for me was the fact that this film clocks in at a tight 90 minutes in an age of unrestrained 3 hour bore-fests. BUT the only thing missing would perhaps be a scene or two more with his 'girlfriend'. Not enough screen time/character development to warrant the breakup scene.

Haha, I can't even LOOK at my drum kit after watching Whiplash. Anything I played would sound like cat s**t.
