Which slider do you use? Does Edelkrone suck?

Hey folks,

I am about to buy new slider, looking for something little bit more compact, just for one tripod. I will use it with combo fs700+inferno (aprox 8 lbs). I always liked Edelkrone's product and new Motion Kit looks promising but...there is always but:). There are not many reviews yet and I found some negative comments, for example current FW is buggy etc. Or there is Rhino, but I have never seen anyone using it with anything else than A7s. Rhino did not answer my email with question about weight capacity.

Silent looped move is big advantage for talking heads, but not essential.

Anyone using Edekrone or Rhino? Or what else do you use?

For smaller and lighter cameras the Edelkrone slider is good. I don't like the locking latch as it's easily knocked out of place which can be really bad sometimes. There's also no protection for the rails so when they do start to pick up knocks and bumps it's not smooth anymore. On the positive side it's really small and I can fit it inside my tripod case along my light stands.

My favorite lower cost slider is the Cinevate Duzi 4, which is relatively light weight for a slider with a fly-wheel that can take camera packages up to 100 lbs.

I would not recommend them after owning one of their Modula camera rigs years ago...the design looked good but nothing worked well...a lot of play in the rig and when the EVF bracket failed after a few months they wanted to charge me some 60+$ to ship me a replacement...also required me to shoot a little video to demonstrate...gear that expensive requires back up and good customer service...I can't recommend them.
