Which should be the composition settings

I place the clip (HVX 200) in project window. After Effects interpret it as
960x720(1.33) 59.94 fps
After that I drag the clip to the new composition icon. New composition created. But the image in composition window still stay something like 4:3.
So, all proportions of the video presented wrong way. How can I see the image in composition window in proper way, I mean wide screen 16:9.
When I use the same clip in Edius it shows everything OK, Edius automatically presents it as wide screen.
Please help. What should be the settings in AE.
Thanks

You're doing it right but there's a little button on the program window that is to correct for PAR and that will display it at 16:9. I think its a rectangle shape somewhere at the bottom.

Thanks a lot! Yes, there is icon called TOGGLE PIXEL ASPECT RATIO CORRECTION. Hope that it will not make something wrong to my image.

It effects the preview only, not the recorded or processed image. I actually prefer to work WITHOUT the PAR correction, because the scaling can be ugly in After Effects.

I really have no idea how ugly scaling is in AE but work with wrong proportions seems to be difficult, anyway....
