Which Screening Formats Do You Use On The Big Screen?

We've recently completed our first feature documentary and have started screening it. The film was mastered to PAL HDCAM and we've had two public paid screenings and have used a HDCAM deck and the film looked good on the big screen.

We're starting to get invites from festivals and the screening options in the most part are DVCAM, Beta, DVD and 35mm. We don't have the money to make a 35mm print, would you be happy to show your film on the big screen in DVCAM or Beta?

We're in the process of having a Digital Cinema Master made for $2200 so digital cinemas can load it into their system.

The film was shot on the HVX200.

We're screening at the Miami Cinematheque next month and they can screen from Blu-Ray. Is that a good option?

Thanks:beer:

Of course Blu Ray would be fine if they can play it. I've submitted Betas as masters with no worries. I won't lay off to DVcam unless I shot on DV and can lay it off as a clone. It's not so much the 5:1 compression that I hate, it's the 4:1:1 color I can't stand.
