Which Rode Shockmount ??

I am thinking on buying a Rode NTG-2 kit. I have a DVX100B. I would like to use the mic on the cam as well as on a boom. I see they make the SM5 for Panny cams. Can a guy buy a mount to turn the SM5 into a mount that can be used on a boom ?? I want to kill two birds with one stone if you know what i mean. I would rather use the mike mount on the DVX instead of the hot shoe. Ideas ????
 
Yes... I have the NTG-2 and SM5 and i purchased a K-TEK internal cord boompole. Works just fine. The head that screws on to the top of the boompole that comes with the NTG-2 will fit the SM5. (its tight though). You'll be good though.
 
I think he means that you take the standard mic stand mount (that comes included with the NTG2) and screw it into the top of the pole
From there, just clip the SM5 mount into it and you're set to go

(Great idea nantnee - I'd never thought of doing it like that before!!)
