which pre amped field mixer for a zoom h4?

shooting on a canon 7d-using a boom mic with a sen. me66- and im using a wireless mic for the actor also....gonna record to a zoom h4..so im gonna run the mics thru a field mixer with preamps...so im looking preamp field mixers .under $1,000 ..any thoughts on these mixers, have u used it before, will it be the right one for my set up. thanks for the info in advance..also reason being i am using the h4 instead of the h4n is that from what ive read the h4n pre amps interfere with the preamps on the field mixer, is this true also..or if you have any other digital recorders around the same price that be great also.........seriously what would we do with out the internet.

It is a bit over $1000, but the Sound Devices 302 is a industry standard. Did I really say that? What I can tell you is they are built really well, have every feature you could want including great preamps and especially limiters. They also hold their value well. Great long term investment in your audio kit.
