Hi guys,

A total noob....

Which of these kits are better for a beginner like me ??

FLOURESCENT

http://rostronics.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=4_47&products_id=94

TUNGSTEN

http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/285924-REG/Lowel_DV_901Z_DV_Creator_1_Three.html#includes

Can I use any of these for both Digital Photography and Video?

Searching the forums got me more confused. I was hoping there was a sticky like the one in the audio section with a clear set of kit suggestions.

Thanks guys!

I'd definitely go with the Lowel kit. They're going to be more dependable than the Briteks. Also, you can always soften a tungsten fixture, but you can't get hard light out of a fluorescent. The tungsten kit will be far more versatile.

I'd go with the Lowels if I could afford it; dependable, serious fixtures. If you want flourescent, you can always go to Home Depot, get a bulb and put it a reflector cone.
