which of these camera setups would you get?

i have enough money to get one of these setups. i'd be using the camera to make short films that would hopefully play at festivals. i wouldn't be doing event work, etc.

1 - i currently have a dvx and was going to buy a 35mm adapter, probably an sgpro. then when the next round of hdv/avchd cameras come out, i can upgrade.

2 - but then i thought about selling the dvx and getting an hv20 with the adapter. i lose manual features but get an hd image. hmm.

3 - or i could sell the dvx and get an xha1. i'd get a nice hd image w/ great manual features, but i wouldn't be able to afford an adapter so i would lose that cinematic look with the nice depth of field.

decisions, decisions. any suggestions?

Option 3. Shoot in telephoto and learn about HD focusing and workflow. By the time you're good at it you'll be able to afford the 35mm adaptor.
