Which Mic To Rent?

I'm about to do a super low budget documentary/diary with my dvx. Since I don't have a microphone I'm going to rent. Here are my choices-

AKG 568 - 20
Sennheiser 416 w/rycote - 40
Sennheiser ME66 - 20
Sennheiser MKE-2 (lav) - 15
SHURE SM-58 7
Sony ECM 77B (lav) - 15
Sony ECM 44B (lav) - 10

The number to the right is the daily rate. It will be entirely outside. What would be a good setup?

416 is the most versitile of the mics in there. It's a broken record but no one mic will work in every situation you will probably need. For all outdoors, 416 with rycote will probably serve you well. Don't rent at the day rate if you are renting for an extended period, get a weekly or monthly rate.

Another alternative is buying the equipment for the production run and then selling it at the completion (high-end professional audio gear in near mint condtition can usually be sold for at least $.85 on the dollar, often even better). If you are shooting eratically or over an extended period of time this is usually the much cheaper option.
