Which laptop do you edit on?

Ah, now I understand.
Can´t you get a Firestore - they pop up pretty cheap on Ebay now.
It served me well for years, back in my HVX200 days.
It happily lives on top of your camera instead of lugging around the laptop.

That's a good suggestion and exactly what this thread is about; helping the sum of us who have a firewire to laptop problem find a solution.

I would get one of these:

I'd probably get the 15.6" for portability but if you don't have a primary editing rig I'd go with the 17" if they're available yet.

I'd want a SSD in the notebook and USB3 storage to do editing on.
