Which is better? (Lens)

I have the HVX200a and would like to add a lens to it, to get the best performances out of the camera and get me as close to film look as possible. I know the lens that is already on the camera is good but better is better.

I don't know much if anything about lenses and can only afford one lenses (I'm camera poor) so what would you think would work as my main lens for filming? I would like to put the camera together and leave the set up for all shooting or at least most. I will be doing most of my filming (90%) Exterior.

I'm at the moment looking at the Zeiss 28mm f2.

Any feedback will be great

This is for a 35mm adapter I'm assuming, because the HVX's lens doesn't come off.

I would recommend the 50mm because it's a very versatile focus length. Can double for a wide or a semi-telephoto in a pinch.

Remember if youw ant a better lens than the HVX200s lens then your abit stuck. As you cant take it off, the image always goes through that lens, no matter how good the bit of glass you have on the end.

Its only as strong as the weakest link.
