Which HD camera should I buy?

So I just wrestled my Broadband back off the credit crunch, after a lengthy 2-3 months.
&
I'm looking for a (2) HD camera's but theres such a variety of makes and models out there, I just don't know what to buy. I have a budget of $1,606.33 (£1,100)

I'm looking to use 'two' of them alongside the Zoom H2 mic.

Main work would be for short films (dvx-fests) and online series's.
At a stretch sometimes the odd personal event, wedding etc.

Any advice or constructive criticism is well welcomed.

I'm flexible for another hundred quid, 1,100, 1,200, 1,250, 1,300..

Two of them will cost more than your budget, but going with one plus the Zoom H2 might really be worth it. Plus, you are basically getting a DSLR out of it as well. Kholi is going to be testing the GH-1 and sharing footage pretty soon. A couple other DVXUSER members will also be getting an early model to test later this week.

Look's like a superb camera.. are there any other suggestion's? Don' want to rush into anything.
