Tech challenged here so don't know which is best; music bakery offers three download formats, mp3, wav, and aif, as well as purchasing on cd's. What's best for FCP? Thanks in advance.
aif tends to be more 'natural' for FCP.
Do you knwo what rate they're recorded at?
cd's usually are 44k but fcp andvideo usually 48k so it may still have to render.
If that's the case use itunes or QT player to export aif 48k since fcp does a poor job of audio conversion.
