which computer is for hd editing

[yia]

hi, guys

I want a computer to edit avchd formate and I have a few questions on the mac pro computer

1...what is the different between dual core and 2x dual core?
2... is 2x dual core same as quad core
3...what mac pro is good to handle hd footage

1 - Dual Core means TWO processors. So 2xDual core means QUAD core. 2xQuad core is Octo Core.

2 - Yes.

3 - What format of HD? There are dozens. AVCHD? Sure, all you need is an Intel Mac to edit that format.
