Which camera is a better purchase?

I talked to my local sales rep about purchasing a dvx100b and he told me I should look into Panasonic HD camera the AG HMC70. It cost less new and records digital. Has anyone used this camera or have any positive/negative to say about it. I checked some reviews on-line and they had some pretty good things to say about it.
 
The HMC70 is not the only HD cam, you know. It uses AVCHD, which is reportedly a pain to edit. It uses 1/4 inch CCDs (compared to the 1/3 inch prosumer standard). But it's shoulder-mounted, professional, and cheap. Hmmm, interesting.
 
Yeah, but can you beat the price for it? I did read that you do need to convert the avchd for Adobe PP but you can record 1080i (but so can the canon hv20 for allot less). What to do?
