I am not sure where to post this question so apologies in advance.
I have an end zone type camera stand for filming soccer games.
I want to be able to use an external monitor that has on screen display output from the camera but don't know which camera to use.
I'd like to stay in the prosumer market. I'd like to go with 4K.
I currently have a panasonic HC-X1000. when I have the camera set to 4K and send the video to my external monitor via HDMI , I see the Video but it does not give me the on screen information. The biggest thing is I can not see if the camera is recording or not. If I switch the camera to HD , then the OSD shows on the external monitor.
I would like to keep the HC-X1000 for the ground work and purchase another camera to mount on the stand .
Im trying to stay around the $1000 mark, less if possible but at this stage I just need opinions from people who know.
Main requirements would be 4K with HDMI out to be able to view On Screen Display on a External HD monitor.
I do not have a need to stay Panasonic , I could change brands and this is why I don't know where I should post.
Some games end up night games and not being pro soccer the chances are the fields don't have great lighting so I am more concerned with low light performance.
Please give me opinions and or personal experience with cameras that meet this criteria.
