So..I've got the AT875r, the boom pole, cables and everything but can't decide which mount to get..

I'm looking in the >100 USD area:

- RODE PG2
- Rycote INV-7-HG-MK3
- Rycote INV-7
- Rycote INV-6

(this ones I can get easily as they are on stock).

Would you recommend something else?

The Rycote are a better shock mount than the Rode.... But the Rode has a better handle.
The INV6 would be Ok for your use but no good if you have a slightly longer shotgun mic.
The INV7 is ok but the Mk3 version is better for a longer shotgun also.

So go for the Rycote INV-7 Mk3 if you are looking at mainly boom work.

Yes, this is only for the boom work. I'll get a separate cold shoe mount for when I don't need the boom pole / must travel light.

I use the Rode PG2 as my stock pistol grip for the 875R, it is also suitable for use on a boom and will allow you to adjust the mic easily and go from boom to hand held quickly.

I also have the Rode PG1 grip for a sony ECM-MS957 which has a NTSM3 suspension that can also be used on it's own directly with a pole.

My stock softie is the Rode WS-6 and I find them good value and very suited to the five AT875R mics I have.

P.S my boom is the Gitzo carbon fibre compact type and it is ideal for such a small shotgun mic.

The Rycote Invision would be a good choice. If you need high wind protection, the new Rode blimp which has the Invision suspension.
