Where's the beep?

Hi all, I'm looking for the beep sound fx used to censor curse words.

I'm also looking for the tone that's used when running color bars.

Any help would be appreciated.
 
THe two pop is a 1K sine wave for one frame. It is exactly two seconds before FFOA and two seconds after LFOA for all reels except the last which does not have a tail pop. Tones are I believe 1K at your reference level (ie -20).

I don't know if there is a profanity beep standard. I think I used 1k also once when trying to create the FX but? If your trying to create the effect remember that the beep cuts out all the sound not just whoevers been beeped, it wont sound right if you don't.
 
Vegas can generate bars & tone at the beginning of a tape when you print to tape, so you can just set it to do that and then re-capture the footage to extract the tone...

He's not looking for a 2 pop. He's looking for the beeps tv shows use to censor foul language. It's usually just a 1Khz tone. Does vegas have a tone generator?

He was also looking for tone (see first post) and since he did write me he was looking for pops, though that was not mentioned in the post. And I sent them.
Apparently Vegas doesn't?
 
Yep, there is no 2-pop option (or countdown option) that I'm aware of in Vegas. You can put in bars and tone when you print to tape (I just did it manually on one of my projects, generating the tone from Sound Forge). Scott, if you have a good 10-second countdown and 2-pop, I'd love to "borrow" it. ;-)

I think I may have an old school academy leader that's all grainy and stuff if anyone wants it. It would actually work as stock footage if you needed it because it has the older, dirtier feel to it. I used it on some projects when the picture editor wasn't able to generate one. I don't remember where I got it from.

I do have a count down that I got somewhere but I don't think it has any sound. I do have pops, film frame and video frame and I have 30 of -20 tone and Dolby pink . But I also have PT so if you need some tone or whatever at some other ref level I can send it your way.

The count down I would have to post for you to download (it's 50 megs) but the rest will email nicely.
