Where to put credits

I did a search and found nothing...

I know this is a basic question, and I don't want to go through 10 DVDs to look when someone can answer me quickly:

What the appropriate location for certain credits for a documentary?

I know you have al the detail at the end... but

do you put the Director and Producer and maybe some other main items at the beginning (or near)? Or is that just for big egos? I could swear I've normally seen this...

Watch some Monty Python's Flying Circus...put the credits any old place. ;D

Credits are placed via contract. The people who get credit at the start have negotiated this. Most docs just have end credits.

Re: Where to put credits

gcaus, seriously, there are absolutley no rules on where to place credits. Well, if you're Hollywood, there might be some. You should place credits whenever whereever you feel like it.For some people, they love putting their names all over the dam place. Feel free to put credits whereever you want. Normally people would put a few major names in the begining and at the end everyone. It's all up to you.

Re: Where to put credits

Just make sure you don't throw your name on there more than 3 times. Put it all in one screen.
