Hi Guys,

I am kind of embarassed to ask this question :(

I bought a DVX 100. Someone suggested that I buy headphones so that I can monitor the sound quality as I am filiming. Well, I went ahead and bought apair of SONY headphones (MDR-7502). Only, I cannot find where to plug the headphones in the camera. Did I buy the wrong headphones?

Thanks a bunch for your help.

I am guessing that you didnt read the manual? The headphone jack is in a hidden compartment that you have to open up. Its to the right of the battery compartment. There is the Camera Remote jack and the Headphone jack in there.

I know this was going to be emarrasing. Thank you guys so much. You made my day.

I have a follow up question. I am using Sennheirser (ew100) wireless microfones for sound. But the sound in the playback is really low. What am I doing wrong?

I could be two things: your headphone monitoring level (volume) is down too low and/or your mic input is set too low. Do you see good audio levels?

I would use two channels when using a single mic. Here's what you do, plug the XLR into input 2, then on the left side of the camera (you have to open the LCD) switch both audio channels to channel 2. Then, with the little dials you can adjust your gain.
