Where to move: UK to Seattle

Just another pop quiz question.

Living in Wales, in the UK. (What the heck is Wales?)

Thinking of starting a fresh, potentially in the States. You all seem so upbeat. Ha. Got two friends up in Lake Stevens, Seattle/WA. Never met them in my life, but I'm a risky bloke. Is it worth moving to that area. Is there a lot of work available, in general & in media?

Any tips or opinions are valued.
 
I lived in Seattle for 7 years.....lots going on ALL the time in the arts/media world. Lots of traffic, lots of rain....can be spendy- but it's a great city for working in music, computers, any sort of artistic venture really. Good luck to ya!
