where to get insurance?

Hi all,

Does anyone have any suggestions about where to insure our DVX's against theft or damage?

I've seen a couple of posts here recommending www.safeware.com... I'm just wondering if there are any other good companies that provide such insurance.

If you already have homeowners or renters insurance you can contact your insurance company. They can tag on additional items (cameras, jewelry, etc) for coverage at a slight increase.

Yeah, right now I don't have renter's insurance because most of my stuff isn't really worth much... so I'm looking for something to specifically cover the camera...

renters insurance should run like $15-25 bucks a month. May as well just do that...

it all depends on what company you go with. I have Allstate Renter's insurance and they will ONLY give me up to $3,000. I have over $10,000 worth of video equipment. They told me that I would need to either pay an increased amount or to just get business insurance.
