Where to find talent (actors)?

Any recommended sites to search out actors, see resumes/headshots/experience? I'd be willing to fly and lodge talent to the location. Just wondering what the best 3-5 websites are for perusing talent with acting experience.

actorsaccess.com is certainly the largest online talent pool I know of (it's huuuge), but AFAIK it's almost entirely LA and NY area-based. However, if you're willing to fly to either to do auditions, you can do very well. If you have a paying, feature-length film with a budget, particularly if it's union-friendly (but even if not), you will be literally inundated with responses from talent and agents. I helped cast "Aversion", the horror film I told you about, this way in 2008 and we had about 1300 responses to about 10 roles. The talent pool is much larger now, and I'd imagine that the LA pool is far larger still. I will be using it to cast my upcoming short very soon...

Bummer, unlike exploretalent.com and starnow.com it looks like there is no way to peruse/search talent without signing up at the site. But yes I would be willing to fly talent into my city, lodge them, so at least such sites allow me to cast talent outside my city.
 
Yeah, sorry - you'd actually need to put up a breakdown of your film's roles at breakdownexpress.com or breakdownservices.com, depending on the type of project. They're both free, and quite easy to use. I'm usually going there on the actor's side, which is called actors access, but it doesn't enable searching other actors. Still, breakdown services is where you will find the biggest, best talent pool anywhere online AFAIK, with the possible exception of backstage.com, which I've not tried.

There is a casting option, when you sign up as a Producer/Director, to actually target and send an email to specific actors that meet your needs. I recently needed a class room full of fifth graders for a film. Two casting calls off Explore Talent and we had our cast - and many of these kids could act. Very happy with the outcome. Same result with adults.
