Where to buy?

I've done an internet search for the AG-DVX100a camera, and it seems the price wildly fluctuates from about $2,000.00 to $4,000.00.

Have any of you run into this?

Makes me wonder if all of the vendors are reliable, because I can't see how some could offer it so cheap.

Are there vendors that are more trustworthy than others?

Could someone please refer me to a vendor that won't try to sell me a lemon?

I will refer you to the one i went to, but be very VERY careful when you see very low prices, many places sell refurbished cameras, and they are not the most reliale. I suggest B&H, not the cheapest place but they have very good deals and they also have very good policies - bhphotovideo.com

Good luck, and you have made a great choice for the DVX100A, you wont be dissapointed

DEFINITELY READ THIS BEFORE YOU BUY
its a huge 300+ response thread but well worth the reading!

Authorized Dealers - Where to buy

t

If you are looking for the cheapest and safest place to buy, buydig.com is the best bet.
They have DVX100A for $3195 (FREE 3 DAY FEDEX SHIPPING) plus Barry's DVD book, and Magic Bullet in the box. (After rebate, it's $2895)
You'll get the 300 rebate, tapes, and a battery, meaning it is U.S product.
People are skeptical about buydig, but I have never seen anyone who did not get a rebate purchasing from buydig. I bought mine from them, and worked out perfectly.

However, EVS has the greatest services of all that are worth the time and money.
If you have some extra cash, go for it.
If you want to save around $300, go buydig.

wow, I just realized your user name was malmsteen, yingway?, i think thats how you say his first name, good ole' yingy, greatest guitar shredder, and ridiculous symphony freak

Sorry for the off topic - just love good ole' yingy

But to respond to your thread, best idea - get it froma dealer that sells within 100 to 200 dollars of the retail price, and has good policies and good client reviews

you may want to try buydig.com. they offer great prices and I've purchased a number of products there before (no tax and no shipping fees). I consider them to be very reliable.
