Where to buy gun replica in Canada ??

My brother has never had a problem buying relica weapons from the U.S.A into Canada. They are fibre glass and have to be painted blue before shipment.

He has a Tommy gun and some other older weapons. There is a trick to getting them across the border that meet Canadian standards.

Airsoft guns / plastic guns are not illegal in Canada. Replica's are illegal. A replica represents a fake gun that looks in every way like a real gun, but does not fire. Those are illegal, and you need a license to own one, or you need to have a replica licensed rep to be on your set. But if you want to use an airsoft gun, you can of course have one. They're selling them everywhere. By "replica" it implies only a specific type of fake. A "real" fake

The question is though. The moment you paint the orange barrel tip did you just turn your airsoft into a 'replica' and may suffer all the charges associated. Just something to be cautious about.

On this page here for an airsoft gun dealer https://www.007airsoft.com/faq.htm it says "Fully colored Airsoft guns are Replica Firearms in Canada, and they are PROHIBITED to be sold to civilians."

So.... tough luck for us filmmakers. Now we have to pay some dude with a license for no good reason.

Edit: But according to this, airguns / pellet guns should be fine? Maybe?
