Where to buy a clap-board?

Although a clap board isn't really necessary today, I think it would be cool to have one - it has a sort of old school feel to it.

Where can one purchase such an item? - internationally - I'm currently based Denmark.

Best regards,

JFP

Thanks for the quick reply, but Filmtools have stated that they don't ship internationally more (with the exception of the UK and Canada) due to credit card fraud.

Birns and Sawyer has them for less, as low as $30.

Don't underestimate the importance of a slate. Although not technically necessary, when used properly, it gives a sense of professionalism and importance to every shot. It's odd, but when I use a slate, even for a low-budget DVX production, Actors are more focused, sound is better, everyone on set shuts the hell up, takes are fewer as everyone tries to get it right the first time. Rather than slowing things down, it makes shooting more efficient and the takes are better.

I'm a big fan of the slate...

In addition, I find slates good for logging tapes. I can put all the relevant shot info I need on a slate so that when I'm capturing I can keep everything that much more organized. Plus, it's easier to set TC from slate to slate, vs searching for the stops and starts.
