Where Do I Get an Editor?

I want to have my script edited by another set of eyeballs outside of my friends/family. I have no one who knows anything about scripts in that group, s the editing done to date is basically spelling, grammar and readability. I would like someone who knows about screenwriting in this next phase to look at it more with an eye for format and structure at this point. Where do I get an editor and what should I expect to pay for one?

Of course, I will register and copyright it before it goes out, but is there any reason why I should be worried about sending my work out to just anyone after it has been registered? Once its registered, I am protected, yes?
 
No amount of copyrighting can absolutely protect you. Someone can still steal your idea and write their own script from it. So choose someone you trust.

I'd be glad to help. I've written several of my own scripts, one of which has been produced -- 'Tangled Web'. I've also written and script-doctored scripts for others, under contract and for pay. I like to think I'm pretty good. :)

What can you afford to pay?
