Where did my Letterbox go!

I have just completed a project and was in the color correcting stages. When I double clicked a clip on the time line to bring it back up in the window, I noticed the letter box is gone. I checked my filters tab and it is still checked. Down on the timeline, its missing the top and bottom of the clip. Where in the world did my letter box go! I tried adding another one but I got the same result. I noticed that the next few clips after that all have the LB missing as well. The entire project has been letterboxed. I have an interview on Video 1 which is covered with footage on Video 2. I had the footage letterboxed but now you can see the top and bottom of the "INTERVIEW" clip when it should be the BLACK BARS there.

Re: Where did my Letterbox go!

try shutting down your computer..... re-start your program. That's the only thing I can think of

Re: Where did my Letterbox go!

actually I had to go to the clip with the interview and add a letterbox to that clip even though you didnt see the person talking and when I moved the playhead over the clip you will see instead of the person the letter box was there...

Re: Where did my Letterbox go!

The widescreen matte is essentially cropping your image. So if there is an image underneath it on the timeline it will show through. So, i'm guessing you are using the interview audio with different clips. Keep the audio but delete the unseen interview clips underneath any other footage and you will not have any problems. If you end up throwing a matte over everything you'll spend twice as much time with rendering.
