Where did Corrado go?

I'm here. Everything related to Corrado is now on my blog, but I'm here. Probably some mod will delete the blog address from my signature like they've done three times in a row already, but eh, what can you do.
 
Well, I am not the right person to give you a detailed account, but I can definitely summarize the situation until that person comes along.

Carrado is a feature film done by Adam (taormina). There was, apparently, a lot of good information in the film thread so it was stickied. Then, after sometime, a lot of drama erupted (I won't go into detail, this is a summary) and the thread was shut down.

Now, I don't want this to turn into a shouting match or a revival of old tempers. Ted asked a valid question, I gave a quick account. If anyone wants to elaborate further in a civilized manner, I don't see an issue with that. However, if this turns into a big debate over that old situation, I WILL contact a mod and have it taken down because we don't need anymore bad blood on this forum than we have had as of late.
 
They've deleted your blog sig? What a dick move... Come'on guys, let by-gones be gone, surely we can all be mature about this moving forward.

Yeah, I'm kind of with Shawn and Adam here... WTH! If it's indeed true that the blog link has been removed from his sig several times, that's pretty low... he's one of the biggest contributors here, and heck, one who actually finished a feature... not many of those here... let the man have the link in his sig.

Some of them are but most are pretty laid back and really cool.

And Adam, the FIREPROOF thread was also closed.

Yep, it sure was, but I have to admit the Fireproof thread had to be policed heavily. Just as the "W" thread although we had it easy, the "Religulous" thread got so heated it was closed down very quickly. We live in a world where people are offended by other people's views and also the anonymity of the internet makes your average coward more aggressive. It's pretty sad actually. There's is no real discussion anymore. I have to admit it swings both ways because sometimes people are very aggressive about how they make points and for the past few months there been a lot of anger leaking out onto the forums. I think it has a lot to do with the election.

Ironically some of the best threads get closed down because of a few people who go sometimes too far but also few easily offended people who basically are so afraid someone will see another person's point of view. There were people who kept trying to get the "Fireproof" thread closed and I know the mods caught that also. By the time it was all over the thread was doing fine but everyone was walking around on egg shells. I don't really know why it was closed, but what can you do? But I have to give the mods credit for their policing on that one even when I myself freaked everyone out.

As for Corrado I think some people got into an argument or something, hurt feeling, etc, you know how it goes. Although I will say I pointed out DVXuser was mentioned in HDVideo Pro and no one seemed to care. I did think that was kind of odd, but yes it was mentioned in the piece about Corrado.

What's do F-ing wrong with being offended?? That's something I genuinely don't 'get'. If I offend you, tough. Now it might be poor taste/judgement on my part, or maybe you lack fortitude. Either way, you can choose to ignore me, go elsewhere, etc. 'Being offended' has GOT to stop being a criminal offense, here and elsewhere.
 
Maybe FIREPROOF should have been centered around a politition (a republican who changes sides to a democrat) rather than a fireman...

Ok, no more Fireproof talk. Sorry for bringing it up :)

Shawn, you know I'm not trying to be a babysitter and I don't want to be a snitch, but you can't blame me for trying to keep the peace. A lot of **** has gone down lately and I would hate to see more hit the fan. I don't want relationships ruined over petty internet arguments, ESPECIALLY if I was one of the instigators of the topic.

I agree with Brandon that the sig link removal should be answered for, but I am not going to sit here and point fingers and *****, that's Robbie's job (there's a joke for you, now you can't call me a hard-ass).

Oh, and for the record, you DO need a babysitter - but that's not my job, my name isn't yellow. Don't hate the penguin for trying to keep things stable, if we (as members) didn't take matters into our own hands (by way of keeping the mood mellow) we'd all be pissed and making movies all by ourselves.

It is a shame some of the best threads have been closed do to peoples STRONG BELIEFS, it has cost thousands of people an education that is really hard to get in this industry and all because they didn't agree with what was being said.

I'd have a hard time sleeping knowing my actions deprived so many people of excellent hard to come by future knowledge.
