Where did all the script writers go?

[vealti]

My usual go to guy for scripts that I have used for years has retired. I've been searching online for script writers in the Chicago area for corporate videos (not movie scripts) but haven't really found anything except sites like Craigslist, Thumbtack, Indeed et. Is this the way to find a script writer now? Is there any resource to find local script writers?

Yup, and as this is a paid role I assume (because it is for corporate), it shouldn't be too hard to find replacements?

As money goes down in the business and technology becomes cheaper, maybe they are now just out shooting their own scripts instead of trying to sell them for small change?
