Where can you get Hollywood bullets?

I need dud ammunition for a real firearm. Ideally I'd like a few rounds of ammo with bullet and casing(brass) but no powder and no primer. I don't know anyone who realoads .223 so I was wondering if there is anywhere to buy it online.

casings are easy get if you use spent ones, and just clean them up a bit with a degreaser or metal polish if you want them to be shiney. generally speaking you can preserve small (non JHP or HP) LOW VELOCITY rounds if you fire them into more than 6 feet of water (depends on ammo type) , like a deeper swimming pool. the more distance through water (or ballistic gel.. or better if youve got some lying around :) )the better of course. then just shove them back into casing. ..a little contact glue if need be to hold them in nice and your set. ..all assuming you have the actual firearm and some live ammo of course.

yes this could be dangerous since im telling you to fire live ammo. but obviously in a controlled environment off set by someone who knows the drill, and im assuming youve got all practical saftey measures in place, and arent going to try firing into a small fishtank or your kitchen sink, toilet, ect. be safe ..use your head.. stay in school. dont do drugs ..and all that jazz.

You can actually buy new brass (cartridges) and bullets from a reloading supplier and put them together yourself like noted above. Go to a local gun store and ask them about it. I am sure that they could hook you up. One thing about using new or used brass, as noted above, is that if you want to show a close up of the back of the round, the primer is going to be an issue. On used brass, the primer is going to noticeably dented and on new brass it is going to be missing. If you want to see the back, then you would need to come up with a way to fake the primer. Maybe something like a dab of copper colored solder smoothed out, would work. I wouldn't recommend putting in real primers as they are volatile and could cause injury.

There are also a lot of fake bullet belts for sale out there. I wouldn't shot them in close up, but here is an example.
