try ebay saw a pretty good oem one for about £30.00 very cheap, you could buy 5!!

And you'd probably have to buy 5 of 'em. Most of the batteries on ebay are of pretty low quality.

Holy Moley, at the current exchange rate, 30 sterling is $52.50. Then there is the lengthy shipping and customs to the US. That would make $67-70 for an ebay non-japanese cell, unlike the DVXuser battery.

Hi folks,

I managed to source for a really, really big & long lasting battery for my Panasonic DVX100A camcorder. It can last an amazing 8800mAhs! This one battery could last me an entire day of shooting from morning till night. Here are some pictures : (the 1st pciture is an original Panasonic battery, the biggest they've got) Notice how much bigger the 8800mAhs battery is in the 2nd & subsequent picture.

These are not original Panasonic batteries, however some of the videographers in my area are using this battery with absolutely no problems to the camcorder as it uses the same voltage, power as the original.

Where do I purchase this type of battery?
And how much should I expect to pay?

Thanks,

MarioDelC, I'm not sure if your country has this supplier, but in my country, I managed to source for a company specialising in all sorts of batteries for all sorts of gadgets. Hope you managed to find one of these suppliers in your own country.

Well Goggle only found one page for this type of battery:

http://www.videoediting.it/catalogo...ria=&offerta=&novita=&cod=&marca=&pag=&pg=2&q=

It's an italian homepage and the price is 145 EUR there...As I'm from europe and don't have to pay customs and stuff, I'll consider buying one of those...even if I'll most likely not buy it...But at the weak US Dollar right now I think you'd better go with some DVXUser batteries instead...

The really big battery that I got costed me only $400.00 a pop, which is quite a good bargain considering that the original Panasonic battery (CGP-D320, 2800mAh/6Hr.55min) costed me $598.00 & yet lasts so much shorter in terms of battery life than the whopping 8800mAh battery I got.

Fellow videographers in my area who use non-original batteries report longer battery life than the original batteries too.

Hey Andy...wow 400$...then the link I listed above seems to be a bargain...145 EUR + Vat for the BL-D88 there...
