Where can I find quality, royalty-free music?

[TripFilms]

Hi All--

Please send me your suggestions for places to find good, royalty-free (and ideally free or low-cost) music for scoring videos! GarageBand can be limited.

Thanks.

Digital juice is a place to start looking...

While there's a lot of amateur music made with a keyboard midi out there, the only professional music I've found is the www.MusicBakery.com made by a Grammy winner...

A few to start with.

I really like www.freeplaymusic.com When I was working as a video journalist, that's the website we used for our music.

Well, if you're looking for free, its not so easy to find. Even with "free" music there are some royalties still due i.e. you have to credit the artist. And another problem is that the sited offering free download contains malware and spy wares which will harm your computer.

SmartSound may have something. You can do some basic editing of the score by manipulating 'blocks/sections' of tracks, usually in about 8-16 bar sections or so. You can't beat a dedicated composition but barring that it might be worth a look.
