Where can I find good films or videos made by youth?

Hi. First post for me. I'm working with a junior high teacher on a project to teach kids how to make documentary videos to learn about their community. Kind of a fun way to learn the "official" curriculum.

It would be great to show them examples of good work done by youth. I don't care if it's shot with an iPhone or a professional camera as long as it shows some level of creativity.

Are there any sites where I could find videos produced by youth? Please let me know!

Sorry if I posted on the wrong thread. This one seemed closest to what I wanted to ask.

Chris, teach them how to write great scripts first. A doco is a story and the better it's told script/story wise the better the final result.

All the other parts camera work, sound recording, editing, colour grading etc. can be studied and learnt as they go along.

But if the script of the story they are telling isn't as good as possible, none of the other bits will jell properly.

All the best with this, kids are the future of everything.

Cheers.

Do an online search for 'junior film festivals' and you will get lots of hits. You should be able to find links to award winning shorts by children from there.
