where are the FX?

I'm editing this project, and I can't make any video FX work...like the brightness and contrast and color curves, I move the sliders, but it does nothing to the picture...what happened to my FX?

what did I mess up this time? argh!

Do you have the button above the preview window -- the circle split in half -- clicked?

by the way, been using your layout and I'm getting used to it...but when I want to look at a larger version of what I'm editing, what's the easiest way to do that?

You can undock it and move it anywhere you want. To get back to the layout, press Alt+D, then 1.

On a maybe unrelated note, my video FX tab has disappeared from the other tab group (project media, transitions...etc)

Any ideas?
