When using MpegStreamclip...

When using MpegStreamclip to create films usable in FCP should I always choose "De-interlace video"?

What factors might influence my decision either way, ie should I always do one or the other or does it depend on something?

thanks

Never use De-interlace video unless you are encoding for the web and your source material is 60i. If you are using 24p, 30p or 60p material then it's not neccesarry, unless you are using 24p material in a 29.97 clip with pulldown added, which has interlacing in it.

Thanks, gents!

My initial use will be the web but I can always de-interlace then, of course I also might want dvds (m2v) so I'll just leave it interlaced.
