When using Dolly+Jib or crane setup. What is best ? Dolly/Slider or Dolly track ?

I'd like to use a small 4' Jib when doing travelling moves.

Some people use small jibs with dolly track and i've seen some others using small jibs but on slider/rail dolly.

What is best to your experience ?

For the moment I've only tried the following setup : Sony FS700 on small 4' glideshot Jib, well balanced (about 12 kilos counterweight needed), on konova K2 slider. To support the whole thing, I use solid camcorder tripod legs on one side and lighting stand on the other one. Everything seems to work fine when doing tests, but I'm not really confident about the whole weight.

That is why i'm wondering if using dolly track would be better ?

There's probably a few combos out there that will work, it depends on the strength/size of the dolly vs the weight of the camera+jib.

I use a Wally Dolly with a Long Valley 7Jib combined with a Canon 5D and now a C300...with 12' of Wally track plus 6' or so of jib that's a nice move.

I can't commment from experience with it, but I'm about to buy a Cinevate Atlas 200. I think it will easily handle that weight. I'll use two sets of Miller 100ml bowl legs' and I can't see any issues with a mini jib on that setup.
