When to add music track?

I was wondering when was best to add the music track. Some people save color correction toward the end b/c color correction is taxing on the comp, so when is it best to add the soundtrack. I assume the soundtrack is taxing as well. I am finishing my audio (dialogue and ambient adjustment) phase and plan to do color correction and AE SFX towards the end, but not sure when it would be best to add the soundtrack (music). Any suggestions? Does it really matter? Thx.

there is no set rule...everyoen does it diffretnly..depends what type of machine u have and the project yorue working on...
i do it differently each time as each project is differnt....

typically, i cut while letting my ipod play the selected music cues in the background, just so i have it in the air while i'm working with the pix and dialogue to refine the structure and content. once that is in a happy place, i begin cutting the music in while making necessary adjustments for and inspired by the cues i'm adding.

I would export the finished (cc'd) with unmixed track as a submaster. Then do my final audio mix to that and do a final export with the new audio track.

Depends on the complexity of the timeline , layers , tracks, FX, CC etc
