When to add artist credits at beginning and end of music video?

is there a usual set time into a music video that you have the credits appear? (song name, band name, director/record label)

is there a set amount of time that credit should remain on the screen before you fade it out?

and when do you put it at the end of the video?

i'm hoping there's a known formula, like 20 seconds in, and 20 seconds before it's over....

not a huge deal, i know, but if there's a standard, then i want to follow it. not that i'm a follower of course...heh.

so like, still nobody can answer this? its weird, seems so simple, but i've googled for hours with no help. one guy on yahoo answers told me 5 seconds in but that seems to soon to me...

really would appreciate the help!!!!!! please?

If you are creating an edited master of a music video, you shouldn't put any credits over the picture. If you look at the various music video channels, you'll see that every station, MTV or Fuse or BET, uses their own style of placement and fonts. You should create a textless master and leave it up to the station to determine the placement or credits. If you're just doing this to put on the internet, then I'd put the credit block over black for five seconds at the head, and then start the video.

Exactly- you don't put those on yourself. Or if it's a music vid that you are distributing yourself, there's no set formula. Put it on wherever it feels appropros near the beginning and end.

yeah i am just doing this for use on the internet, i just thought if i followed an MTV/muchmusic formula, it would give it more of a professional feel, u know?

but i guess you guys are right. since it's just the internet, I can do whatever I want, so i won't stress about it. thanks guys!
