When shooting in Machu Picchu--leave the crane at home

I'm having all these 'Midnight Express' flashbacks torn in with someone repeating the phrase 'my name is pablo escobar, you snorted my coke, now you're my *****'...

Kusa pacha! Intiwatana ashkapuni walin, unay-unaypachamantaqa. Soqta wata mana ashkachu a, soqta pacha wataña Intiwatana jaqaypi sayarinña. Inkaq pachapi, chay crane operatorta wañuchisqanku a. Imaynataq Inti waqmanta pacharinqa a? Niway!

Taking our time before it’s through
Passing our days in old shoes
Sister - think I’m returning to Peru
Wish that I never came here
They can’t pronounce my name here
Everyone asks me where’s Peru?

In peru we’ve lenghtened the day
In peru we’ve strenghtened the dollar
There are mountains piercing our skies
And the ocean at our shores
I will save up all of my wages
Even retail crummy cosmetics
I will work my passage in stages
As the winter slips away.

Miles of golden beaches
Excellent wines and features
Mister - take a week off in gay Peru
Penitent monks to stare at
Colonial dons in old straw hats
Everyone’s there in old Peru
Oo-poo-Peru

I wonder if the crane fell over or swung down from human error... if it fell over then that was idiotic that they didn't have the pod sandbagged anyway. The story implies that the pod tipped... and in that case I'd have to give the guy 5 years for stupidity.

I hope nobody uses a boom stand without taking precautions too... I think you only get to pop somebody in the top of the head with a shotgun once.

No spell so far... but coca is actually good for the teeth, high in calcium and sanitizing. You'd be surprised at some of the toothy smiles!

WOW REALLY..some of the pictures i've seen of the people picking coca leaves and chewing them always show rotten teeth

They probably don't let the pickers chew too much...
