The P2 store makes a lot of sense in a lot of ways, but if we think this through further, it would lead you to ask:
1) Why not use a larger hard drive instead of the laptop hard drive?
(Obviously this would require a new enclosure)
Size is not really an issue as you can't run and gun with it with the motion
sensors anyway, so no one is storeing it in a backpack, or belt clip.
You have to put the drive on something flat that doesn't move.
A 5 1/4 drive that has a larger capacity would be better than the current
small sized P2store that you can't use the benifit of it's smaller size.
A P2 store with 5 1/4 hard drive optimised for fast data transfers seems
like the obvious answer. It offers more capacity and faster data transfers.
2) Why hasn't panasonic come out with an upgraded 120 gig P2store and an
upgrade "kit" for current P2 store users? I would buy both. The "kit" could
have everything needed to upgrade exsisting P2 stores to the 120 gig unit.
