Hey Guys,
I'm sorry if this is a repeat post. I've been searching the forum for a thread regarding this question, but have had no luck.
I am currently using a Panasonic HPX170 and would like to try out a 2.39(esque) aspect ratio for a video edit. I know it's not real anamorphic, but I'd like to try it out. Here's what I'm trying to accomplish:
1. Create a template in Premiere Pro CS5 in 2.39:1 for 720p and 1080p video. I have done the math and played around with the settings on PP, but it doesn't seem like to like certain odd numbers. Please let me know what ratios worked out for you.
2. Export an .mp4 of the edit in 2:39 without the black bars on top. This means without a black% crop. I was able to do this to some degree, but I ended up with mpeg files and wasn't quite sure if this was the proper export procedure. Help me out?
In the case that anyone wants to ask about this in the future, feel free to answer any questions that may come up when doing an export like this. Thanks for your help!
Regards,
RJ
