Whats your reason for being an addict to this forum?

Is it cuz you love filmmaking and this place is resourcefull? Pookie's ever strange fotos? Attempting to read all of John Hudson's 12,000+ posts? Terry's avatar?...or..my personal favorite..cuz you alll love my ''jive'' talk?

..you kno this place is addictive to come and check on periodically during the day...you canntt survive with out going on for more than 2 days.......all of you, that do that...im one of them...wats your reason??

also to periodically reassure ourselves that there are other people with alarming cerebral mutations similar to our own who are willing to delve in to this pursuit. oh, and because of the radishes...

I just got tired of going to all the forums with either 12 year olds or 40 year old pissed off wedding-ographers and sides; everyone is so damn cool here.

I just got tired of going to all the other forums with either 12-year-olds, or 40-year-olds pissed off, arguing which kind of supercharger is better, Roots or centrifugal. Plus, everyone's so damn cool here.
 
Other forums seem pretty anal to me.

To find an non-anal forum on such an anal subject is quite refreshing, so I stuck around. I have dabbled else where, but nobody ever wants to have fun...

...and the colour scheme is better.

DVinfo don't even have smilies do they? I mean WTF! Do they think that is really grown up or something! :evil: :laugh: :happy:
 
Well, obviously a love of filmmaking is what started me, but what keeps me coming back is definitely the people.

That and I'm convinced that I'm going to log on one day and that cat in mmm's avatar will have gone all Jackie Chan and wrestled that gun away!
 
I come here for the jokes.

And in between I learn a little, and every once in awhile I'll give back the knowledge.

This is also the only forum where weird things happen. I don't mean trolling, just really random threads that will go in hilarious surreal directions. This place attracts odd birds, and you stay here long enough it rubs off on you. Not that there's anything wrong with that. :thumbsup:
 
I came here because I wanted to be a filmmaker, but I didn't have the skills. There was a TON of info here, so I just started reading everything I could. Eventually, I started posting and was hooked by the cool people here. I don't know what I'd do without this place.
