What's your computer set up look like?

Sirius - Nice jog shuttle. You're a pro! But I would have chosen a different font for the labels. It's a little too femine for my tastes. Maybe a bold san serif. :)

Well, I come from the ol' days of analog linier Sony RM 440 and 450 editors and the jog/shuttle controller on this controller feels the same.

PK - funny you say that - my wife printed the labels after I gave her a list of what I wanted and I didn't have the heart to tell her I didn't like the font.

LOL :) I knew it! ...I started on RM440's too. Had some 3/4" decks hooked up to an Amiga Toaster. Good times. Good times. These kids now a days don't know what they're missing. :)

my other editing station....not as advanced as the downstairs one..but i think this one is decent for a Pentium II....256 MB RAM...12.6 GB drive....ooo yeee

....beast.....

Looks like you need to start putting more change in that Miller coin jar. A Panny saved is a Panny earned. hehehehehe We should put that on DVXuser shirts.

hahahahaha

That Miller coin jar is gonna save my life one day....actually....its the money for my next DVX.....i only got about 100 bucks of coins in there.

but i think the best thing in this fotografika is.... Sunny the Seal

Of course, but it's always more fun pointing out the little details in a photo. For example; Is that a "DVX100 for Dummies" book on your shelf? I need one of those! Can I borrow it? :)

Here's my old setup. I've now had a major upgrade as well. I'll post new pics tommorrow.

My new gear consist of:
-19' viewable flat LCD
-Better positioning of my monitor setup.
-JVC/VHS miniDV deck for capture and playback
-400gig external drive
-Korg Trition
-& a cute girl that usually comes over and *coughs* helps me capture.
-and now I'm broke!

My next investment is a audio/music suite. This is just temporaily since I don't have enough space in my room. I want a dedicated computer just for audio mix and music production.

And this is my little new puppy.

That's a sweet microphone. Do you sleep with that laptop? Please tell me your social life isn't that bad!

I have a cute girlfriend that *cough* helps me capture. (She makes a cameo in the EGG #7 video). She might be your cousin!

Edit: Hey Blue, we've got the same mouse.

Niice station Bluespider!

I like those sticky notes...adds on to the coolness of editing stations...hm....i might start using those too to become 'cooool'

Um, I really don't know what kind of dog that is. That's was when she was only 2 weeks old. Plus I photoshoped her to make her fat and extra cute.

Actually I replaced that laptop a month ago because I dropped it. She's was a ***** anyway. Fujitsu was her name.

PK if you marry her, that means you'll be related to me.

It's been fun. Time to go outside and enjoy the Sun, ....by going to see a movie in a dark theater. :) Have a good night everyone!

When I think about it this thread is very funny, The original poster got his ass fried and yet the thread lives anyway. I wonder if the dead guy is watching from guest heaven!.... And now, I've got to drag out my cam, take some footage, frame grab, convert and uplink to contribute. And all this to answer the question of a guy who got smoked. In reflection, I notice that the unmentionable always seemed to be able to keep a thread going wether he was or wasn't part of it in the end......Funny stuff. I'd place a smiley here, but I wrote all this gibberish in quick reply, which as you know isn't armed with them.

You must learn the ways of the force and memorize the smiley codes if you are to become a quick post Jedi like your father!

Just type the proper code!

Or you can just click on the "go advanced" button at any time. It doesn't delete what you've already written in "quick reply" mode............
