I've actually had a groom climb in through my kitchen window before...

That's insane!

I sometimes wonder how some people like that make it through day to day life... ::)

P.K., where'd you get that lamp? Is it a local piece? Very cool.

Please don't tell me Potterybarn. :)

I'm waiting for a render, so here's what my desk looks like now, it always gets messy during post production. :P

Re: Show off your edit station

You call that messy?   ::)

I would post a pic of my office if I could get it 1/10 as clean!  :P

How do you like the shuttle? Thinking of picking one up

Re: Show off your edit station

TC, I like that little cozy on your field monitor, is that to protect it from the elements?

Re: Show off your edit station

Re: Show off your edit station

It is indeed. It also holds my S-Video cords on a side pouch.

Re: Show off your edit station

Josh - ;D The lamp is a local creation (or it might be made in china - you sometimes never know). I picked it up at a market for about $9. Lighting is everything! In front of the camera and bahind the scenes. It sets the mood. Thanks.

Loki - Nice setup. Although it looks like you're a addicted to coke. Get help man! Oh, and you can't hide it! We all see the liquor bottle in the background. Now you've got us concerned. Don't drink and edit buddy. I've seen the consequences. It's not good. 50% of all interlacing is caused by alcohol.

TC - ;D You're setup has me confused. I see a monitor with DVXuser on it, but where's the keyboard? Is it over to the left or is it on top of the tv? I see a laptop for editing, but the shuttle is on the left and a mouse on the right. Are you ambidextrous? Your setup makes my head hurt. Try this! Place the Maxtor drive under the desk, I know it's cool to look at it and makes you feel like a man, but it's only taking up valuable counter space. Do the same with the extra tapes and marker box. That should help a little ;D Oh, and we've got the same speakers. Harman/Kardon from Dell, right?

Indeed.

I'm using the laptop to render some AE stuff and editing on my desktop. The keyboard on top of my TV my new wireless keyboard for the desktop, and the other one is just my old one that I haven't put away yet.

I always use the mouse with my right hand and the shuttle with my left. Don't others do that? ???

;D Ahh Dakota, That one had me laughing out loud. For some reason it tickled my funny bone.  My eyes are still watering. ...But in the good way. Not from crying or pinkeye.

Good stuff.

Re: Show off your edit station

I remember in film school they'd try to set you up for the real world, so they'd make someone else edit your project. I'll never forget when this one guy (seriously talented filmmaker) was stuck editing this crappy short, I walked buy his editing bay, and there was a couple bottles of JD to stop his madness, or make it better. Oh man I should post a clip of that film, I kept eveything I worked on in filmmschool. too funny.

P.S. I mentioned this cause of Loki's whiskey on his desk.
