What's your computer set up look like?

This is a cool thread. Here is my Avid Suite.

I like this room. Can I move in?

My basic setup, you can't see the TV in this one, you can see the Dual monitors (samsung 712n flatscreens), the media center keyboard and mouse (nothing special haha), the media center itself (model 1050y, if anyone wants specs, let me know, i'm very proud of the little guy, he was expensive), and the surround controller.

I'm interested in the specs and editing software being used.

Always wanted to edit with a view and natural light. Problem is you gotta CC at night. Could be worse....

Here's a couple of pictures of my set-up. It takes up about a third of my room. I may end up making my closet into an editing suite in the summer though.

My Equipment:
MacBook Pro 2.33GHz Core 2 Duo w/ 2 GB RAM
Apple 23" Cinema Display
Lacie 500GB eSATA Drive
Lacie 16x External DVD Drive
Canon XL2 (not pictured)

I also hook up one of my TV's to it when I need a preview monitor. The one behind it in the picture is an Insignia, which is generally not that helpful because it's colors are off. When editing 4x3 I sometimes bring in an older Sony TV that I have on a cart. And when I am editing my short films, I move the entire set-up out to the 73" big screen, which makes an awesome preview monitor.

Very nice... maybe just get a pair of black bed sheets and some grip clamps to quickly hang them off the curtain rail.

Very nice setup! All business!

Here is mine.

1. Editing suite
2. 19 inch Workstation rack
3. Renderfarm modules

Is that renderfarm taken from star wars???hehehe

Yeah, looks like some energy modules of a X-Wing.

Actualy that kind of housing was first designed by Production designer Ron Cobb for Dark Star - it was a container for the ship cat if my memory serves me right.

Thought it would make a cool housing for the render slaves.
