What's with all these new sub-forums?!?!

Seems like every new cam, be it Sony or DSLR gets a sub-forum these days. Frankly, if I was a Canon DSLR user I will go to a DSLR forum.
What about PANASONIC? HPX370? HPX3000? Varicams? Don't they deserve a forum too?
Also, PLEASE don't hide 35mm adapter forums... they are still a viable option for many looking to get
into cinematography.

Back in my day we had one forum, no profile pictures and yours posts weren't up until the switchboard operator finished sending them over the telegraph. And you know what? We were happy to have it. Course, you couldn't get video on your stills camera back then neither, on account of the war. President Wilson saved all those for our boys in Panama, fighting the good fight. Lost a lot of good men back then. Van Halen wrote a great memorial song about it, and a tear still comes to my eye everytime I hear about that hot shoe burnin' down the avenue.

To summarize, I agree, this could be simplified quite a bit. I'm at the point where I only use RSS feeds to navigate this forum. It doesn't really affect those of us who use the subscriptions, but it's not always the best for people's preferences. I tried going by individual boards once and the hassle was just too much.

Yeah, I've said it before, and I'll say it again, I really don't like how there are so many sub-forums. I go to maybe 2-3 forums in total, but part of me wants to see much of the content that comes from all these forums, yet I just don't want to navigate them all.

But that's just me, and in past threads everyone always said "I cruise a lot of them, I'm fine with how it is."
