What's up with the GROUPS function?

So I see that there's a "groups" function in this software. Are there any plans to utilize this function? I assume eventually we will see the return of the Mods, the Respected members and the DVXUser filmmakers?

Any plans to allow the users to establish or suggest additional groupings?

The user groups function is primarily used for controlling access to certain forums, so is there something in particular you have in mind? I think the general policy has been to grant all members access to all of the forums with equal posting priviledges.

No, I've got no aims at controlling access. I've argued many times in the past against requiring newbies to register before posting, so I wouldn't really be for anything that encourages limiting access.

I just wasn't sure exactly what the groups function was all about. Thanks for explaining it.
