i am talking specifically about a video like this?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E2tMV96xULk

something with constant graphics / compositing... also graphics transitions throughout. after effects doesn't seem too friendly to anything but individual clips. vut what if theres graphics constantly throughout the entire video??

what do you think the workflow was like for the pitbull video?

Edit the video in FCP then export single shots to AE for compositing & graphics, render out of AE, import back into FCP and tweak then done. Or you can finish in AE. Or you can use Automatic Duck to make the transfer to AE easier and faster. It also retains handles, etc so you can tweak the edit in AE.

Usually it helps to do some basic planning/storyboarding/etc prior to starting anything.

Or if you have Premier Pro CS4 you can import your final cut sequence into that and then go to AE from there with no rendering!!
